Uncorked Wine & Coffee Shop will host its first wine tasting on Wednesday, February 11.
Joe Hardesty of Uncorked in Roscoe Village will host the tasting beginning from 6-8pm on Wednesday. Designed to be comfortable and informal, this public tasting will introduce six popular wines from Yalumba, the oldest independent family-owned winery in Australia.
This free event is open to all and hosted by the owner of Uncorked. It will be a low-key affair featuring friendly conversation and non-snooty discussion of easily accessible wine.
Australian wines are known for big tastes and exciting flavors produced in one of wildest grape growing regions on earth. Wines made in the wildlands Down Under are among the finest in the world and enjoyable in every season at any table.

New shop opening in February

Roscoe Village shopping is getting even better, as the Baby of Mine shop announced plans today to open in Roscoe Village on February 14, 2009
This newest Roscoe Village shop is an organic boutique catering to new mothers and their baby needs. Baby of Mine specializes in all-natural, organic products and support during pregnancy and nursing, as well as the early toddler years.
Grandparents will be delighted to find a great selection of toys and gifts for children at Baby of Mine – including a full line of Melissa and Doug toys.
