Roscoe Village's honorary Christmas Candle lighter 2009
Meet Mr. Christmas on December 12th
If you follow our website, you know already that world-famous floral artist Bill Hixson is the honorary Candle Lighter for the Roscoe Village Candlelighting ceremony on Saturday December 12, 2009.
But did you know that you can chat with Mr. Christmas all day on Saturday in Roscoe Village?
Bill Hixson is the founder of Hixson’s School of Floral Design and a world-renowned floral artist who has published several authoritative works and lectured floral design students throughout North America, Europe, Japan and Australia.
But for more than anything else, Bill Hixson is famous for his passion for Christmas.
For 30 years, Bill Hixson has advised the staff of every American President and First Lady – since Ronald and Nancy Reagan — in decorating the White House for Christmas. And his experiences there have earned him the moniker of “Mr. Christmas” throughout the world of interior decorating.
The HGTV “White House Christmas” special showing his work is the network’s most popular holiday program every year. [Watch it online here]
