Randy,
Yes, this is the same restaurant family that operated the Steak n' Stein in Zanesville for decades.

They serve the famous Steak 'n Stein onion rings and we think you'll find the new restaurant's entire menu delicious.

We go to Roscoe Village every year for the Christmas celebrations. In 2009 we were very pleasantly surprised to find the Warehouse restaurant had some nice renovations. Being a canal history fan, I was delighted to see them rename the pub after legendary canal folk singer Pearl R. Nye. The pub's layout was opened up nicely, making it seem more comfortable yet retaining its coziness. The food and service were fantastic and we look forward to returning.

Hi Myron,
Thank you very much for your comments here about the first Candlelighting Ceremony of 2009. This event is beautiful and it's our favorite time of the year in Roscoe Village.

We are very sorry that your family's experience was affected like this.

We have held for some time that Roscoe Village needs new leadership. When such shoddy preparation and organization like this begins to be noticed by our visitors, we know it is time to take a very long look at how this place is being managed and prepared for you.

We promise to spend the next several months redoubling our efforts to improve the Roscoe Village experience for our visitors.

In the meantime, we hope you'll take the time to visit us again very soon. Our next Candlelighting Ceremonies will be held on December 12th and December 19th -- and we promise a dramatically improved experience for all.

Sincerely,
Sam Wereb

My wife, sister, brother-in-law and myself drove from Massillon to attend the candle lighting last night. We enjoyed it very much. Just a few suggestions (this is done in the spirit of helping, not being critical). The sound system was not working when the children's choir sang. We could not hear anything. On the other hand when the women were singing before the ceremony began it was almost too loud--they were great. I would suggest that you have the choir sing before the ceremony and have the women lead the singing. I think it would flow much better and would get the crowd more involved. Frankly, people just started walking away when they started to light the candles. Thanks

I want you to know that the people at the entrance did not let us in for free when we told them we wanted to visit the stores and eat at the restaurants. We were told we would have to pay to enter and that we could have 1-1.5 hours and then we would have to return to the front gate to exit and we would then be given back the entrance fee. I think the entrance fee to attend a craft fair on a public street is unfair. Those people stand at the front gate guarding the entrance like vultures wanting your $3 to enter. Totally ruined our experience and left a negative memory of Roscoe Village for all of us. Wont be returning next year, I am not paying money to enter a public street for a craft fair. And I did call the person with the hat and boots on friday and he had no idea what I was talking about.
Thank you,

We were camping at Lake Park in September and walked up to Roscoe Village. Hit the shops and then had a fabulous brunch at the new Warehouse Steak n' Stein. The food is fantastic and the prices are very resonable..Highly Recommended...
Can't wait to go back again!!!
