The world-famous Roscoe Village Canal Boat Ride resumes operation this Saturday.
Beginning Saturday May 23, visitors to Roscoe Village Ohio can take a trip back through time aboard our one-of-a-kind canal boat on the historic Ohio & Erie Canal.
The Monticello III is an authentic replica canal boat, drawn by Percheron draft horses, through Ohio’s unique Erie Canal history. The 1.5-mile Erie Canal cruise lasts 40 minutes and travels 180 years in the past, offering a unique narrated adventure through a colorful section of the original Ohio & Erie Canal way.
From now until Labor day, trips back in time aboard the Monticello III depart at the top of every hour. Buy tickets before boarding at the Canal Boat Landing on State Route 83 in Roscoe Village.
Click here or call the Roscoe Village Visitor Center at (740) 622-9310 for more information.
WHEN YOU GO: Continue the adventure and see how traditional leather working was done in 1830s Ohio – and still is today – at The River Ridge Leather Shop in Roscoe Village. No ticket required. Dogs welcome!
